Best server in Cancun Don Bernardo We are so happy to be at GR Caribe Deluxe because of the awesome service in particular by the staff at Bogavante restaurant. Please make sure you ask for Don Bernardo the nicest and most helpful person at the GR. He is so hardworking and provides a service that is unlike other being attentive to everyone adults and kids. I have been to GR 3 times and I am not a member but he has always been so considerate of us all. The food is amazing but his genuine and diligent service takes the experience to another level. We ate there for dinner every night and were amazed every time. The beach is beautiful the food is great and the service is above and beyond.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. Over all the food is good. The only issue I had was that on the menu when it listed beef tenderloin, it ended being flank steak. Those are 2 totally different meats which everyone knows that. When people order beef tenderloin they expect a tender, and juicy piece of meat. Its kind of being untruthful. On the bright side their cream soups are great and alot of their chicken dishes are delicious.

Upon arrival the front desk lady (arlette) was very rude. Not only to me but I heard her be rude to a few people while checking in and I also witnessed her arguing with her coworker while I was still standing there. She told me her checkouts were more important so I needed to move to the side while filling paper work out. Then at 3 pm our two rooms that we booked 5 months in advanced for my family of six were not ready and couldn’t even be on the same floor even though we are two adults and four children. We asked for infant cribs about 6 times before they were delivered every time being told they were on their way. Room service was 1.5 hours or more wait time and they always forgot stuff. Reservations for dinner options have to be booked days in advanced and at the other hotel. They won’t even serve you outdoors without a mask. The gift shop worked told me she didn’t have any change and I couldn’t pay with my card because she was ready to close and go home even though it was TWO hours before their closing time. Over all the service was awful! But wait staff was pretty nice and housekeeping was good.

This hotel is a great choice! Hotel grounds are beautiful and very well kept. All sheets and towels are changed daily and refrigerator is restocked daily. Room service is better than any other place I’ve stayed in, service staff are always available and willing to assist you quickly. The only negative is the bed sizes but everything else is perfect!

It was decent. Showed up to light bulbs being dead in the room and balcony. No top blanket was there the first night. Room service never answered the phone until after several calls in a row. House keeping never came unless we called and requested it even with the sign on the door. All inclusive was pretty much all inclusive. They made it seem as though their ocean front room was ocean front but it was just in front of the ocean so more so just an ocean view room. All in all it was a decent trip. Not sure if I would stay here again.

Very old outdated hotel.. very slim picking on food. Rooms look like from 80s. Had yellow water coming out of sink faucet.. definitely think twice before booking

So the hotel isn’t much like the pictures it’s not well maintained and it’s not near landmarks or plazas. But the hotel staff are super nice the food is okay and overall not too bad. The only problem is the front desk oh my goodness are they awful with customer service those are the only staff that were rude and arrogant. We booked for 4, two adults 2 kids and when we arrived they told us they had to charge us extra for the two kids, ridiculous! We were at the lobby tired for 2 hours calling Priceline trying to fix it and they “fixed” it but the hotel didn’t accept it and said they couldn’t do anything. Another family had the exact same problem. We called Solaris customer service and they told us that they shouldn’t even charge for the 9 year old but the 11 yr old should be charged so at the end we paid for one kid. Then when we checked out they asked for some “federal tax” ??? Who checks out of the hotel and pays again! They are a scam! Constantly looking for ways to take money. And I’m sure most of the extra money they keep it. Cheats!!

This is a great resort with very friendly staff. They work hard at keeping the resort clean and strive to ensure that the guests have a good time. My only complaint is the Asian restaurant. This was definitely on the bottom of the list as the sushi pieces were pretty bad. The main course was ok at best with the best items we had being the soups.

Went in the third week of September for my 20th Wedding Anniversary. I was there for five days and not once did I catch any staff members not wearing a mask. I booked at Royal Solaris, several floors were open but restaurants were closed. That didn't matter because Royal is adjacent to the GR and all the restaurants were open and shared with us. Plus the pools were open on both and we had access to both. Food was delicious, room service was limited but very tasty, and my balcony hot tub was perfect. I loved my stay, really great location, tasty local seafood place across the street, and easy city bus access. In room minibar stocked daily and snacks available all day. Only drawback is that the rooms walls were really thin, I could hear my next door neighbors and I'm sure they could here me. Other drawback is that the information desk wasn't really an information desk, it's a sales pitch for the resort vacation club. We were attended by Ricardo (I think that was his name), very nice person, but we had to keep telling him no ALL THE WAY TO THE ELEVATOR! Because they kept trying to sell stuff, I was afraid to stop by and ask about the shows. Shows on the other hand were fun, seats were spread apart. Bartender was quick to get you drinks. All the dancers wore masks the whole time! Anyway, if I could do it again, I'd still visit again and stay at Solaris again. Despite the sales pitch, Solaris was prime location, great food and entertainment, and very good value for your money.

For anyone looking to book in GR Solaris Cancun, here are some pros and cons. Some of the few pros are the rooms are pretty clean. The people working the front desk are super helpful and kind. However, a concierge thought it was a good idea to wake us up at the crack of dawn to sell some of their tour packages. We are on a vacation for a reason, and that is to sleep in. the cons are that the staff seem to favor people. We were never offered poolside service and we had to constantly flag down waiters during meals for refills, etc. It got old fast. Please do not favor guests by profiling them based on what they look like and on who may give more tips. That is NOT professional. I am from Mexico and was appalled at how differently we were treated versus other guests. I am not the only one who feels that way since I have read other reviewers who felt the same way. GR Solaris Management, please offer more extensive customer service training to all staff. It is rather lacking, and you guys charge a pretty penny to stay there, so step it up! Also the food is a disgrace. As a Mexican, I couldn't even eat some of the "Mexican food" you had as buffet options. Any taco spot in a corner would have been way better and way more affordable. I will not be staying here in the future and I urge anyone with tastebuds or anyone who doesn't want to feel discriminated against to take their business elsewhere.

Second stay here. Great hotel with friendly staff. Food is excellent. They have implemented many safety measures to ensure your health is safe from this pandemic. Hotel has a unique vibe. Not your typical 4 walls of most hotels.
